Pilgrims of hope with Saint Anthony
The guide to the pilgrimage in the Basilica during the 2025 Jubilee
In the 2025 Holy Year, the Pontifical Basilica of St. Anthony will be a Jubilee church, and will offer those who enter it a short spiritual itinerary to accompany their pilgrimage to the Saint.
The guide to the Jubilee itinerary is available at the entrance to the Basilica.
At the end of the itinerary it is possible to request a certificate of the Pilgrimage of Hope from the Reception Office of the Messenger of St. Anthony.
- Chapel of St. Anthony
- Chapel of the Black Madonna
- Chapel of St. Joseph
- Chapel of Relics
- Memorial to Fr. Placido Cortese
- Chapel of Blessings
- Hall of Confessions
- “Voca me” Cross
- Chapel of the Bl. Sacrament
- Messenger of St. Anthony Reception Office
The pilgrimage will not end once you leave the Basilica: each pilgrim is asked to continue his or her Jubilee journey by becoming a “Witness of Hope” in everyday life, enacting concrete “signs of hope” in his or her own life, home, and community, as indicated in the Jubilee’s Bull of Indiction (Spes non confundit 7-15):
- gestures of peace
- openness to life
- care towards detained persons
- Proximity and support to those who are ill
- focus on the young and the elderly
- reception of migrants, exiles, refugees and asylum seekers
- generous support for the poor
May the Lord enlighten us with the joy of His hope!
