Various plants have become symbols of Christmas over the years. First and foremost, of course, is the fir-tree with thousands of lights. Then there is the poinsettia that gives just the right touch of red to make us feel the festive air. Then of course we cannot forget holly and butcher's broom, two winter plants that can be used to make many decorations in our homes. And last but not least, there's the mistletoe, considered a symbol of rebirth.
It will be told for us by Father Mario Conte, a friar of the Basilica and editorial director of the Messenger of Saint Anthony magazine.
